How many times a week should i use a Trainer?
Depending on your level, injury history, goals and general experience, 1-2 times a week will usually get you where you want to go.
What kind of shoes should I use?
I prefer a flat bottomed sneaker or minimalist type shoe, with little to no heel elevation. We want to keep our feet level to the ground in order to address structural imbalances. Running shoes also tend to be to unstable for good foot stability.?
What is more important for weight loss - nutrition or training ?
In the past I would have said they are equally important but through my almost 30 years of experience I have learned that paying more attention to what you eat and drink has an increased effect on weightloss in the short term. Once you have obtained your desired weight and size they become equally important.
What and when should I eat and drink before each session?
Your main meals should be consumed at least an hour and a half before. You should make sure you are well hydrated through noncaffeinated/carbonated beverages, preferably containing some electrolytes. If it is more than 1.5 hours since your last main meal, eat some fruit, nuts or other nutritional snack before the session and always bring water/fluids and a snack with you.
